FUR STOLE

Dont Worrrrrryy... its not real!  well, its not real bear anyway but it is a real stole, that I made, from scratch, for my bad ass self!  Finally some self indulgence.  It feels amazing, the fabric is faux bear fur and is super, SUPER soft and cosy..  oooh, touch me!

This is a stole that you can wear basically to fluff up any old, boring jacket.  For example, I popped it onto this grey jacket which no-one really comments on, EVER (I love grey, so  sue me) and it was like TA-DA, wow, love your coat.  PLUS... its totally on trend for AW12.  Anyone who is anyone will be purchasing a coat with a fur trim for next winter season, coloured or natural (insiders tip)

This Navy trench, on the other hand, is something of a blue peter moment (here's one I made earlier) and is my first Hayle and Reign jacket made from scratch, belt and all!  I'm so proud of my self because I've never made a jacket before and I think for a first attempt it looks pretty good.  Lined and trimmed inside seams, its also made with a water resistant fabric so you can be warm and dry (almost) for the winter season.

I'd also like to point out how difficult it is to sew leather, well in this case it is PU leather so fake but it was really tough getting it to push through the foot of the sewing machine because the fabric is so smooth.  Anyone have any good tips on sewing fake leather?

Tea Time

Recent travels have led me to stumble across some lovely little caves in Glasgow's west end selling brick-a-brak and antique novelties  which I obviously wanted to purchase... like... all of it!

In particular, this little tea cup stand had me drooling with want, as any of you who know me will know how much I love tea cups.... so pretty I had to share these gems with you.

Head down Dowanside Lane if your up for a bit of vintage shopping.... window or other.  Who wants them... me me me, gimme gimme!!!!
